Baseball Recap: Bangs Gets the Win

Bangs's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Winters Blizzards. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Blizzards: they've now won seven in a row.

Trapper Estess spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Bible, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Bangs is undefeated when Bible posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-7 otherwise. Rex Guerrero also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bangs' win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Winters, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Bangs will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blizzards: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
