Baseball Game Preview: IMG Academy White Ascenders vs. Pinellas Park Patriots

IMG Academy White is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Pinellas Park a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The IMG Academy White Ascenders will be playing at home against the Pinellas Park Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, IMG Academy White came up short against Imagine School at North Port and fell 10-7.

Payne Cearnal was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Armstead, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Pinellas Park didn't have quite enough to beat Largo on Friday and fell 4-3.

Kingston Le made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

IMG Academy White's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Pinellas Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
