Football Game Preview: West Nassau Warriors vs. Global Outreach Charter Academy Kodiaks

West Nassau is a perfect 4-0 against Global Outreach Charter Academy since February of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will take on the Kodiaks at 6:00 p.m. Neither West Nassau nor Global Outreach Charter Academy posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Last Tuesday, West Nassau didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Bishop Snyder, but they still walked away with a 13-9 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

The critical scores for West Nassau came from Destanee Minton and Kierson Jaques. Minton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first receiving yards of the season.

West Nassau didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mariah Coleman, Olivia Wiggins, and Ryleigh Overstreet picked up one apiece. Coleman is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as she's now defended two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Global Outreach Charter Academy fell victim to Middleburg and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Broncos.

West Nassau's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything came up roses for West Nassau against Global Outreach Charter Academy in their previous meeting last Friday, as the team secured a 34-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
