Volleyball Recap: Tri County Victorious

Tri County proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Aquinas Monarchs 2-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meila Gronemeyer was the offensive standout of the game as she had seven assists and six digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matches.

When it comes to explaining why Aquinas lost, don't look at Marissa Miratsky. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and one assist. Miratsky is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Tri County's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Aquinas, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Tri County has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Sutton on the 13th. As for Aquinas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Kenesaw on the 13th.
