Soccer Recap: Sullivan County Takes a Loss

Sullivan County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the South Williamsport Mountaineers, falling 9-2. While losing is never fun, Sullivan County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 379th, while South Williamsport are ranked 155th).

Lily Mccarty and Quinn Pennella scored both of Sullivan County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Sullivan County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for South Williamsport, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3-2.

Sullivan County didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 loss against North Penn-Mansfield on the 4th. As for South Williamsport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Loyalsock Township on the 4th.
