Soccer Recap: Towers Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Towers was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Social Circle Redskins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redskins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Towers is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Social Circle, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Towers will venture away from home to square off against Utopian Academy for the Arts at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Towers has given up an average of 6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Social Circle, they will welcome Jasper County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Social Circle is on a three-game streak of home wins, Jasper County a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
