Gage Park gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tilden Blue Devils as they made off with an 18-2 win. The victory was nothing new for the Fighting Owls as they're now sitting on five straight dating back to last season.

Ignacio Lopez was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Fernando Sanchez, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3.

Looking ahead, Tilden will take on Chicago Vocational at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Blue Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Gage Park will be paying especially close attention to Tilden's contest: after Tilden faces off against Chicago Vocational, they'll take on Gage Park again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
