Softball Recap: Gainesville Victorious

Gainesville picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Castleberry Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Leopards.

Kennedy Dodson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Addysan Pickett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Gainesville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Castleberry only posted an OBP of .409.

Gainesville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Castleberry, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Coming up, Gainesville will take on Crowley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Castleberry, they will challenge North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
