Basketball Game Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Richland Raiders

Loretto is 8-2 against Richland since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Loretto has given up an average of 51.2 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Loretto is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Tuesday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-54 heartbreaker at the hands of Munford. On the bright side, the 54- point performance marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, Richland earned a 64-51 win over Lawrence County on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Richland's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Loretto, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went Loretto's way against Richland when the teams last played back in February, as Loretto made off with a 63-38 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
