Chandler is 8-2 against Basha since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Chandler Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Basha Bears at 7:00 p.m. Chandler is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Chandler came up short against Casteel and fell 52-43. The Wolves were down 42-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Markayla Shirley put forth a good effort for the losing side as she went 8 for 18 en route to 21 points. Jordyn Moreland was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Chandler smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Basha ended up a good deal behind Hamilton on Tuesday and lost 65-51. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Huskies are ranked 19th).

Chandler's record now sits at 11-9. As for Basha, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Chandler against Basha in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 56-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chandler since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
