While Onalaska's win against La Crosse Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hilltoppers skirted past the Riverhawks 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hilltoppers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Jagger Banasik looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Onalaska saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradyn Delong, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

The victory made it two in a row for Onalaska and bumps their season record up to 10-11. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for La Crosse Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Riverhawks beat Onalaska by a score of 7-5 later that day.
