Basketball Recap: Ajo Takes a Loss

Ajo lost against American Leadership Academy two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Ajo Red Raiders lost to American Leadership Academy at home by a 57-39 margin.

American Leadership Academy was led to victory by CJ Christopher Williams and Porter Jones. Williams posted 29 points, while Jones put up 16 points. The game was Williams' seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Ajo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for American Leadership Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Ajo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on A+ Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for American Leadership Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 86-51 win against Paradise Valley Christian Prep on the 19th.
