Softball Game Preview: Trinity Raiders vs. Apollo Eagles

Trinity is 0-4 against Apollo since May of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. Trinity will be playing at home against Apollo at 5:30 p.m. Trinity's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Apollo's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Trinity's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Hancock County hitters got past them. Trinity fell just short of Hancock County by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Apollo's offense. They lost 11-0 to Daviess County on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Apollo, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Trinity might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Apollo in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Trinity avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
