Basketball Game Preview: Carlinville Cavaliers vs. Staunton Bulldogs

Carlinville has won three straight games at home, while Staunton has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Carlinville Cavaliers will host the Staunton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carlinville's tournament run continued when they took on North Mac on Tuesday. Carlinville breezed by North Mac to the tune of 68-32. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 29 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Staunton beat Gillespie 42-32 on Tuesday.

Carlinville is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Staunton, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
