It was a good run, but Word of God Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Garland County Athletes for Christ Home School Patriots.

Haddie Giles paced Word of God Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Giles got some help from Gentry Allen and her 17 assists. Kallie Pizarro controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Word of God Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Word of God Academy has already played their next matchup (against Nevada), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Garland County Athletes for Christ Home School will be paying especially close attention to the Force's game: after the Force face off against the Blue Jays, they'll take on Garland County Athletes for Christ Home School again at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
