Basketball Recap: Northeast Nodaway Comes Up Short

Northeast Nodaway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Stewartsville Cardinals 82-24. While losing is never fun, the Blue Jays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Cardinals are ranked 269th).

Northeast Nodaway's loss dropped their record down to 3-24. As for Stewartsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Northeast Nodaway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 82-24 defeat against Osborn on the 14th. As for Stewartsville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals face off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
