Basketball Recap: Cory-Rawson Takes a Loss

Cory-Rawson lost against McComb back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets were dealt a 60-33 loss at the hands of the McComb Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 573rd, while the Panthers are ranked 166th).

Cory-Rawson has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for McComb, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Cory-Rawson will take on Pandora-Gilboa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McComb, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbus Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McComb has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
