Basketball Recap: Fannindel's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Miller Grove came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Fannindel, but Kor'Ziareona Aubrey wouldn't allow it. The Fannindel Falcons really took it to the Miller Grove Hornets for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-41 victory thanks in part to Aubrey, who dropped a triple-double on 40 points, ten boards, and 15 steals. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Fannindel's points.

Another player making a difference was Zabriya Lawerence, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024.

The win (which was Fannindel's third in a row) raised their record to 10-16. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points per game. As for Miller Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-21.

Fannindel will head out on the road to take on Savoy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Fannindel knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Savoy likes a good challenge. As for Miller Grove, they will be playing at home against Ector at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
