Basketball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milan Bulldogs. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 54-40.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Milan, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Milan, they will venture away from home to take on Gibson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Gibson County has won seven straight at home, while Milan won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
