Softball Recap: St. Scholastica Takes a Loss

While it was St. Scholastica who put the first points on the board on Tuesday, it was Pearl River who put up more. The St. Scholastica Doves took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pearl River Rebels. If the Doves were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Rebels when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Scholastica has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. Pearl River is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

St. Scholastica will take on Loranger at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Loranger's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so St. Scholastica's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pearl River, they will square off against French Settlement at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
