Baseball Recap: Arkansas Gets the Win

Arkansas posted their closest win since April 29, 2025 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Ashdown Panthers 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Razorbacks in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Mavrick Adcock made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He has become a key player for Arkansas: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-12 otherwise.

Adcock wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Brunson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Quinton Thurston also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Arkansas' record now sits at 7-12. As for Ashdown, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.
