Baseball Recap: Miamisburg Comes Up Short

Miamisburg and Northmont squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Miamisburg had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Thunderbolts by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderbolts this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss two weeks ago.

Miamisburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Vaughn, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Miamisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Northmont, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-12-1.

Miamisburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northmont, they will be playing at home against Loveland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunderbolts are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Tigers a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
