Trinity Presbyterian has gone 8-2 against Montgomery Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will welcome the Knights at 2:00 p.m. Trinity Presbyterian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Trinity Presbyterian lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pike Road, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's game. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Patriots on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wildcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Land Sharpless and Fleming Hall made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Sharpless pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hall struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At the plate, Sharpless scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Hall scored a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Cooper Bernier was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Brady Bennett was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Montgomery Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Jemison on Tuesday, taking the game 7-3. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Montgomery Catholic let Ethan Levanda and Adrian White run wild. Levanda scored a run while going 2-for-3, while White scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Montgomery Catholic is 3-1 when White posts two or more runs, but 5-10-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacques Coles, who scored two runs and stole two bases.
Trinity Presbyterian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Montgomery Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 8-11-1.
Montgomery Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Trinity Presbyterian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for Montgomery Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .243. Will they be able to contain Trinity Presbyterian's hitters?
