Baseball Recap: Forest Hill Comes Up Short

Forest Hill lost against Meridian last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Forest Hill Patriots fell 6-1 to the Meridian Wildcats. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

JaMarcus Byrd made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Forest Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Meridian, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, Forest Hill will be playing at home against Hazlehurst at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Meridian, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Meridian Wildcats duke it out with Mendenhall Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
