Football Game Recap: Walters vs. Hinton

Walters had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Hinton on Friday as they made off with a 42-14 win. Walters was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Walters's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 36 points in the first half. Hinton came up with 6 to make it 36-6 heading into the break. Walters were outperformed in the second half 6-8 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the game. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.

Walters will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Mangum at 7:30 PM. Hinton will look to defend their home turf next week against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 7:00 PM.
