Football Recap: Beech Grove Wins High-Profile Contest Against Silver Creek

Beech Grove faced Silver Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hornets took their matchup with ease, bagging a 44-13 win over the Dragons. That looming 44-13 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hornets yet this season.

Destanie Marion threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes. Teryan Anderson was her top target, picking up 114 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Harmony Burks rushed for 65 yards and one score.

The victory made it two in a row for Beech Grove and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 19 points in those games. As for Silver Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
