Baseball Recap: Concord Victorious

Concord came out on top against Moreau Catholic on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Bears took their game against the Mariners 7-4.

Damian Kochaphum was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. Concord is 3-1 when Kochaphum posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Jonah Oleole was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

Concord was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2025.

Concord's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Moreau Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7-1.

Looking ahead, Concord will take on El Cerrito in a tournament on Wednesday. Moreau Catholic will be paying especially close attention to the Bears' contest: after the Bears face off against the Gauchos, they'll take on Moreau Catholic again on Wednesday.
