Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeside). They were the clear victors by a 19-12 margin over the Citrus Hill Hawks on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Hawks on April 3rd, they had to take a 7-6 defeat.

Michaela Alverado and Adryanna Alvarez made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Alverado tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits. Meanwhile, Alvarez tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Alverado has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Alverado went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double, while Alvarez fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave Alvarez a new career-high.
