Amherst Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Iroquois Redhawks with a sharp 76-53 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Amherst Central pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points over those games. As for Iroquois, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Amherst Central will square off against Williamsville South at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Amherst Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Iroquois does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
