The Salem Hills Skyhawks will head out to face off against the Cedar Valley Aviators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Salem Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season.

Salem Hills is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Orem on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Salem Hills took a blow against Orem, falling 87-35. The Skyhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

Salem Hills' loss came about despite a quality game from Jacoby Gustin, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points. Gustin is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Landon Harden also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Meanwhile, Cedar Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Springville, falling 68-48.

Salem Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Cedar Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Salem Hills didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cedar Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 78-73 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Cedar Valley's Hunter Larson, who went 10 for 18 en route to 27 points along with four steals and three blocks.
