Soccer Recap: Mineola Falls to Kellenberg Memorial in First Game of Season

Mineola unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Mineola couldn't quite close it out.

The victory keeps Kellenberg Memorial at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Mineola and Kellenberg Memorial will both be playing Floral Park Memorial the next time they take the pitch. The Firebirds will head out to face the Knights at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
