Baseball Recap: Hempstead Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Hempstead's offense. They came up short against the Van Vleck Leopards on Tuesday, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 13-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Hempstead has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Van Vleck, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

While Hempstead had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
