Volleyball Recap: Norcross' Run of Seven Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Norcross unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hebron Christian Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Norcross' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Grayson Taylor, who had 19 digs and two assists, and Ellie Ruth Blue, who had 20 assists and eight digs. Blue is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Jada Mickens also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Norcross' defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Hebron Christian, the victory was the 30th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 37-2.

Coming up, Norcross will head out on the road to face off against Berkmar at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hebron Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Villa Rica at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
