For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Upson-Lee and Stratford Academy meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Knights fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Upson-Lee sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.

Amiya Cromer paced Upson-Lee's offense, picking up five kills. Cromer got some help from Kaylin Gresham and her eight assists. Gresham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Upson-Lee's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Stratford Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Upson-Lee will challenge Spalding at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stratford Academy, they will take on Sherwood Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
