Basketball Recap: Jayden Bergman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Stockdale

Central Valley Christian proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 40) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Stockdale Mustangs 46-43.

Central Valley Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Bergman, who went 6-for-14 en route to 16 points. The game was Bergman's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Grant Hyde, who posted ten points and three steals.

Central Valley Christian's record is now 2-0. As for Stockdale, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Central Valley Christian will take on Justin Garza at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will need to watch out since the Guardians have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
