The First Academy waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the International Community Comets.

The First Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 21-25, 25-20.

The First Academy can attribute much of their success to Selah Kohler, who had six aces and five digs. Those six aces gave Kohler a new career-high.

Kohler wasn't the only good server: The First Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive games.

The First Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for International Community, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-4 record.

The First Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Windermere on the 9th. As for International Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Lake Mary Prep on the 11th.
