League recap: Chiles climbs in state rankings with win

Chiles moved up to 216 from 276 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 1. The Timberwolves climbed the ranks as a result of losing to Godby 61-7.

Lincoln extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Leon, 49-10. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Trojans.

Lincoln's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cameron Joseph threw for 146 and two touchdowns and Reggie Davis had 136 yards receiving. On the ground Ben Robinson chipped in 109 yards. Taj Williams helped Lincoln's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.

Chiles' Ben Hatch and Mike Dunn have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hatch has thrown for 1046 yards this season, while Dunn has 20 catches for 299 yards. Buchholz's Kenny Scott leads the league in rushing yards with 661.

Yusuf Shakir's team led 7A District 1 in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Lions. Joseph ran for 26 yards in the win.
