Volleyball Recap: Pine View Wins Going Away Against Cedar

Pine View won the last time they faced Cedar and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers blew past the Reds 3-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pine View was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Brock Swensen and Nathan Mitchell, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Isaiah Warner and his 20 assists. Mitchell was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Pine View's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cedar, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pine View will face off against rival Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cedar is set to square off against their familiar foe Desert Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
