Volleyball Game Preview: Stone Memorial Panthers vs. Gordonsville Tigers + How To Watch

The Stone Memorial Panthers will face off against the Gordonsville Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Stone Memorial challenged Livingston Academy on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2.

Stone Memorial took Livingston Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 17-25, 15-9.

Stone Memorial's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ameila Jones, who had 17 digs and two assists, and Brooke Wilson, who had nine digs and one assist. Ralyn Eaton also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Meanwhile, Gordonsville entered their tilt with Innovation Academy on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Sentinels 3-0.

Gordonsville walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-8, 25-19, 25-19.

Gordonsville's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Stone Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
