Soccer Recap: Memorial Takes a Loss

Memorial entered their match against Stratford on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mustangs fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2.

Connor Portmann and Farid Alipaz scored both of Memorial's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 33 goals.

Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 17-2-4. As for Stratford, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7-2.

Memorial has already played their next matchup, a 3-3 draw against Spring Woods on the 16th. As for Stratford, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Houston Heights (old) at 7:45 p.m. on the 19th.
