Football Recap: Leelan Baughman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Donegal over Eastern Lebanon County

Donegal had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-6 to make it four. They fell 27-20 to the Eastern Lebanon County Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 34-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leelan Baughman, who rushed for 140 yards. With that strong performance, Baughman is now averaging an impressive 102.4 rushing yards per game.

As for Eastern Lebanon County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.5 points over those games.

Brinley Donmoyer had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 189 yards and one touchdown while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 61 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 189 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Donegal wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-14 victory against Octorara Area on the 24th. As for Eastern Lebanon County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-27 win against Northern Lebanon on the 24th.
