Baseball Recap: Berlin Comes Up Short

Berlin entered their game against Maloney on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Redcoats fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 8-7. The Redcoats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Berlin's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-2. As for Maloney, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Coming up, Berlin will face off against Bristol Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maloney, they will head out to square off against RHAM at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
