Softball Recap: Bloomsburg Panthers vs. Southern Columbia Area Tigers
Bloomsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 10-4 to the Southern Columbia Area Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 15-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.
Mya Coyne was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kara Bodganowicz, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Bloomsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Southern Columbia Area, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.
Coincidentally, Bloomsburg and Southern Columbia Area will both be playing Hughesville the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
