Baseball Recap: Danville Little Johns vs. Subiaco Academy Trojans
Danville proved they can win big last Friday (they won by nine) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Subiaco Academy Trojans out 14-12. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Jaxson Brents was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jac Callahan, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
The win got Danville back to even at 7-7. As for Subiaco Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Danville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Two Rivers at 4:30 p.m. As for Subiaco Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-12 defeat vs. Scranton on the 11th.
