Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Edwardsville's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Edwardsville had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Maryville Christian Lions by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

Edwardsville had a senior duo take command as Nicholas Paschall had three digs and three aces and Lucas Marsh had 13 assists and two aces. Paschall has been hot recently, having also posted 12 or more assists the last three times he's played.

Edwardsville couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 41.7% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was back in April.

Edwardsville is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-12 record this season. As for Maryville Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

Edwardsville has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against O'Fallon on the 29th. Maryville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
