While Marissa/Coulterville put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Valmeyer. The Meteors were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Pirates. The Meteors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Carter Daugherty, who gave up just five hits to keep Valmeyer off the board.

At the plate, Marissa/Coulterville let Ryne Rhodes and Jack Stewart run wild. Rhodes went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI, while Stewart went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Marissa/Coulterville's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Valmeyer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Marissa/Coulterville will face off against Steeleville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valmeyer, they will square off against Chester at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
