Basketball Recap: Carson Crump Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lausanne Collegiate

St. George won the last time they faced Lausanne Collegiate and things went their way on Tuesday too. The St. George's Gryphons managed a 68-64 victory over the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gryphons.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. George's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Crump, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Crump a new career-high. Amir Wilson was another key player, going 6 for 9 to rack up 16 points.

Several Lynx players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zuri Mcclure, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 19 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Thompson, who posted 14 points.

St. George's record is now 16-5. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

St. George's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they will be playing at home against Fayette Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lausanne Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
