Softball Recap: Morristown Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Morristown was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell 6-1 to the Edinburgh Lancers. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Morristown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayvah Weir, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Weir has snagged this season.

Morristown's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Edinburgh, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Morristown beat the Lancers by a score of 10-4 on Friday.
