Softball Recap: Starmount Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Wilkes, Starmount was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the West Stokes Wildcats a 1-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since March 13, 2024.

Starmount's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for West Stokes, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Starmount will be playing at home against North Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Stokes, they will head out to square off against Walkertown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.8, the Wolfpack 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
