Soccer Recap: Huffman Comes Up Short

Huffman entered their game against Clay-Chalkville on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Huffman Vikings fell just short of the Clay-Chalkville Cougars by a score of 1-0. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to them when the teams met back in April of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Huffman suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Clay-Chalkville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Coming up, Huffman will be playing in front of their home fans against Gardendale at 7:45 p.m. on February 27th. As for Clay-Chalkville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Clay-Chalkville take on the Pell City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
